LNER has championed collaboration at York Station, with colleagues joining representatives from British Transport Police (BTP), North Yorkshire Police (NYP) and several other local organisations to promote safety.
The teams were visible across the station and were on hand to share information about the work they do to help create a safe and welcoming environment for people arriving and departing by train. LNER also supported officers in the promotion of the White Ribbon charity, which works to prevent violence against women and girls. LNER was awarded White Ribbon accreditation in 2024.
York BID, York and West Yorkshire Licensing authorities and the Deputy Mayor of North Yorkshire, Jo Coles also showed their support.
Jim Rawcliffe, Security and Emergency Planning Manager at LNER, said:
“The safety of our customers is paramount."
"Every day our teams work hard to help everyone who passes through our stations and boards our trains. We work closely in partnership with BTP and other local police forces. It has been great to join together here in York to show the work being done to keep everyone safe.”
