Design services framework launched by Network Rail in deal worth £650m
Suppliers are being invited to provide engineering, design, and technical consultancy services to Network Rail in a framework deal worth up to £650m.
Network Rail, publishing a prior information notice yesterday, called on contractors to attend a second Supplier Engagement Event—where companies will be presented the procurement strategy, selection, and commissioning processes.
The procurement process will be arranged into separate lots: one lot will be a national discipline sector, where contractors will get the chance to provide professional design, technical, and engineering consultancy services for a combination of 10 single disciplines on a national basis.
Additionally, there will be 10 regional single discipline lots, allowing suppliers to provide services within one of Network Rail’s four regions; the 10 disciplines include buildings and architecture, civil and structural, consent and environment, geotechnical, and track.
A design services framework will then be awarded to several companies over the next five to eight years, worth £650m in total. The estimated date of the publication of a contract notice will be 5 October.
