It’s a competition
Labour leader Ed Miliband scored one of his first major wins at Prime Minister’s Questions by apparently flooring David Cameron on the NHS.
The PM seemed at best unprepared, at worst disingenuous on the specific subject of competition law and how it will affect the ‘any willing provider’ principle in the future.
Cameron had a point that Labour’s preaching on the reforms is hypocritical, considering the developments in the NHS on their watch, but that did seem to be his only point – and it’s not enough.
