Nigel McKay, the former boss of procurement and supply chain at Lend Lease, has been appointed as head of construction procurement at HS2 Ltd.
McKay left Lend Lease in December 2014, after joining the company from KBR in 2005.

He will play a key role on the project overseeing the award of vast civil engineering contracts on the high speed railway route.
During the HS2 Supply Chain conference last October, it was stated that many major works packages will be procured between 2015 and 2019. The phase 1 categories will be: Design & Services (£0.4bn); Tunnels (£3bn); Surface Route (£3.8bn); Stations (£2.9bn); Railway Systems (£1.7bn) and rolling stock for both phases (£7.5bn).
