Arriva Rail London appoints a new director

Arriva Rail London (ARL), which operates the London Overground on behalf of Transport for London (TfL), has announced the appointment of Anjuli Ramburuth as the company’s finance director with immediate effect. Anjuli takes over the role from Steve Best, who became managing director in January.

Anjuli joins ARL from Arriva UK Bus, where she was head of finance, supporting the London business. She brings 18 years of experience and expertise, having worked in several commercially-focused finance leadership roles within the foodservice industry before joining Arriva Group.

In her new role, Anjuli will oversee financial operations for ARL, which runs over 1,600 London Overground services per day for more than 520,000 passengers.

Working in partnership with TfL, Arriva Rail London strives to deliver improvements for London Overground customers through more frequent services, new trains and improved interchanges, as well as developing stations and lines to meet increasing passenger demand and to support new homes and jobs.
